Pay: £22,500 – £27,500
Hours: Full time – 35 hours a week

Two exciting roles are opening up at Involve, a think-tank and a charity on a mission to deepen democracy. We work to innovate and to inspire others to take up new democratic practices, as well as to embed best practice in engaging members of the public across government and the public policy sector.
We’re recruiting for two dynamic Policy Researchers to strengthen the work we do; who would combine their hands-on experience of delivering on projects with a passionate research interest in the future space for democratic practices.
We’re looking for something special in our Policy Researchers – alongside demonstrable policy development and research skills, you’ll also be a self-starter with excellent organisational skills, the ability to build effective working relationships and the ability to learn on the job – taking responsibility for leading the delivery of discrete areas of work within a project. This might involve leading the coordination of an event; drafting of high quality research or think-pieces; or developing an online resource. In time, you might co-ordinate small scale projects under the guidance of senior staff with the opportunity to grow and to develop as a rounded professional within our fast-paced environment.
Working closely with a range of colleagues, you’ll have the opportunities to gain experience across a wide range of policy and practice issues – from strengthening democracy within the NHS, working with civil society activists to open up decision-making, bringing citizen voice into the heart of some of the most controversial science and technology policies through Sciencewise and grasping emerging opportunities for democratic reform.
