Sustainability and Public Engagement Advisor
Rosalie is supporting Involve in looking at the central role of public engagement in delivering sustainable development, identifying new opportunities for engagement, building the evidence base for how engagement can assist changing attitudes and behaviour, as well as ways to scale up engagement.
Rosalie also works as an advisor for the ‘2degrees network’, an online sustainability community, promoting low carbon local authorities and sustainable communities. She is a consultant on institutional sustainability and environmental management.
Previously, Rosalie worked at the Local Government Association as their International Policy Officer, leading both policy campaigns and programmes that supported learning, training and exchange of good practise between local government internationally. She has worked to promote sustainable development for over twelve years, supporting stakeholder engagement and global institutional reform around the UN Johannesburg Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002. This included publishing two books: ‘Governance for Sustainable Development’ (Earthscan, 2005) and ‘A Plain Language Guide to the World Summit on Sustainable Development’ (Earthscan, 2004).
