The local residents given control of budgets

In The Guardian founder of Involve Richard Wilson makes some interesting comments abour the role of participatory budgeting during government cuts.

Involve Deputy Director Edward Andersson is quoted saying that participatory budgeting gives people “real power over actual pots of money; and the communities are involved over many months, sometimes years rather than as a one-off.”
