In February 2009 Involve alongside The Consultation Institute ran a training course on 'Evaluating Public Engagement'. 

Increased public participation inevitably raises important questions as to whether public bodies, stakeholders and citizens derive the benefits they should from such exercises.

This course was specially designed to look at the growing need for evaluation, and equip participants to apply best practice principles.

The course made extensive use of case studies from a wide range of environments thus enabling participants to develop evaluations that are appropriate for their own organisations.
