I believe people should be at the heart of decision-making. At the end of the day, if decisions aren't about people and the world we live in together, then what are they about? Fundamentally, this is what our democracy is all about - making sure people have their say and are listened to. But it's not just about democracy and principles - it's about what makes a good decision. By involving people in decisions - especially those most affected - decisions are more likely to be legitimate, effective and sustainable. In short, they're going to be better.
