Event Information 

In the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Bill, government have pledged new rights for local people to control services within their area.

Alongside this, government see local authorities at the forefront of the drive to ‘reconnect people to political decision making' through understanding and connecting with the political process. The question for local authorities is how they can do this.

This conference will bring together central government, local government and partners to learn how to involve communities in local decision making, and reconnect them with the democratic process.
