In February 2009 Involve alongside The Consultation Institute ran a training course on 'Media relations and Public Engagement'. 

In the world of public engagement, the influence of the media cannot be overestimated.

This course sought to help those who need to manage such exercises in the glare of local or national media coverage.

Full of real-life illustrations from broadcasting, print and the blogosphere it was invaluable to PR and communications professionals to give them an insight into the special characteristics of consultation and engagement activities.
