Amanda Preece

Associate

Amanda is an independent social researcher with 25 years’ experience of working with predominately public and third sector clients providing bespoke evaluation and research services. In previous roles Amanda led the Manchester Connected Care team at Turning Point (a health and social care charity) leading on community researcher training, with a focus on enabling community members to engage and research their own neighbourhoods and empower active citizenship.


In recent years Amanda has specialised in project evaluations, stakeholder engagement and
facilitation support. She has worked with Involve since 2018, facilitating for the National Gas
Network Panel and West Midlands Combined Authority ‘Greener Together’ Panel. Amanda enjoys
both delving into data and thinking of creative ways to help people tell their stories whilst
supporting them to participate and be heard. Recent projects have involved engaging and hearing
from young asylum seekers, Romani-Roma-Irish traveller communities, older people, people with
long term health conditions and NEETs.


Outside of work Amanda volunteers for a local older people’s group, providing activities to increase
social contact.
