Our Facilitation Skills Training for Public Engagement is designed to give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to effectively manage public and deliberative meetings, workshops, and events. 

Whether you're a community organiser, public servant, corporate leader, or educator, this training will give you the skills to guide participants through complex discussions, building collaboration, understanding, and impactful decision-making.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Facilitation Principles: Gain a clear understanding of the fundamental principles of effective facilitation.
  • Core Facilitation Skills: Learn the core responsibilities of a facilitator and the skills necessary to balance impartiality, facilitation, and engagement.
  • Dialogue and Deliberation: Explore the roles of divergent and convergent thinking helping groups move toward informed outcomes.
  • Managing Challenging Situations and Behaviours: Be prepared for the unexpected. Learn to spot and manage challenging situations and behaviours.
  • Engagement Methods: Discover proven engagement methods that increase participation, generate ideas, and deepen understanding.
  • Session Design and Planning: Get hands-on experience in designing and planning a wide range of deliberative sessions—from small workshops to large community events.
  • Practical Application: Develop your facilitation skills through interactive exercises and real-life practice scenarios.

By the end of this training, you’ll be equipped with the capacity, competence, and confidence to lead impactful conversations that drive inclusive decision-making and create meaningful engagement.

We offer 0.5 day, 1 day and 2 day training on Facilitation Skills.

Good facilitation is a core skill and this training is the way to develop that. This should be mandatory and accredited so we can raise the bar for working through the multitude of challenges that are facing us in today's world.
