Chair

Kevin Steele has been Chair of Involve since June 2025. He has campaigned on issues of social justice in CEO and board roles for over 20 years.

Kevin founded and led Britain’s biggest ever campaign on climate change, Climate Week, with 1.7 million people at 11,000 events. He cofounded and led an ethical investment campaign that resulted in the world’s largest financial coalition, the £58 trillion Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change. He conceived and cofounded an anti-poverty coalition, the Trade Justice Movement, which ran the biggest ever lobby of the UK parliament. He also founded the world’s largest campaign promoting enterprise, Global Entrepreneurship Week.

His work has been endorsed by two UK Prime Ministers, two US Vice Presidents and a former UN Secretary-General. His past roles include being CEO of Enterprise Insight, which catalysed training for a million people, and Chief of Staff at the £3 billion charitable foundation CIFF, where he worked internationally on child malnutrition. He helped set up the £450 million foundation Big Win Philanthropy and led its evidence review of the impact of violence against children.

He served on the Council on Social Action chaired by the UK Prime Minister, and a committee advising the Queen. He is on the boards of the Climate Bonds Initiative, which has mobilised £240 billion of green investment, and Respect, the UK's largest charity preventing domestic abuse. He is the founder of Freedom Friday, a campaign being developed in 2025 to help stop violence against women and girls.
