On his appointment, Kevin said:

"It is a privilege to be joining such an amazing organisation. By promoting active public participation in the key issues facing local communities and the whole of the UK, Involve is making a crucial contribution to the wider mission of revitalising democracy. I look forward to working with the trustees and staff of Involve, with our colleagues in the democracy sector and with our partners in government and elsewhere, to bring about the democratic transformations that are so important for the future of our country.

Kevin Steele, Involve Chair of Trustees

I would like to thank Ed Cox, the outgoing Chair, and the other trustees whose terms will be ending this year: Claire Ainsley, Kathy Jones, Sharon Squires and the Deputy Chair, Hannah White. They have all made tremendous contributions to the huge increase in Involve's impact and influence during their tenure, and their legacy is an organisation fizzing with effectiveness, talent, commitment and future potential.

I would also like to thank the staff of Involve, especially the joint acting CEOs Steph Draper and Carly Walker-Dawson, and the Management Team members Yas Alttahir and Gareth Bridges, for the warm welcome they have given me as the new Chair, and for their skill and dedication in steering the organisation through a period of transition. I look forward to working alongside them and all the other members of Involve's exceptional staff team, and I am sure that together we will achieve extraordinary things."
